Use of neural networks in EEG analysis

Artificial neural networks (ANN) offer a robust method for estimation, prediction and classification. The application of these networks to EEG analysis is well-founded. Nevertheless, care should be taken in the choice of pre- and post-processors. Although the use of ANNs does not offer a solution to some of the problems encountered in EEG analysis, these methods can provide information which is lost in more traditional analysis methods.
