PREDICTION OF DISEASE SEVERITY
I am an Honorary Visiting Research Fellow at the Cambodia Oxford Medical Research Unit (COMRU) and a Clinical Lecturer at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. I have worked with the MORU Tropical Health Network since 2018. I am passionate about using research to develop capacity for clinical infection services.
My research focuses on the syndromic management of febrile illness and specifically early recognition of children at risk of progression to sepsis. Between 2019-2023 I was based at COMRU within Angkor Hospital for Children in Siem Reap, where I completed my DPhil, supported by a Wellcome Trust Doctoral Training Fellowship.
I am a member of the team leading the South and Southeast Asian Community-based Trials Network (SEACTN). Our aim is to develop and evaluate pragmatic, context-appropriate tools to help healthcare providers better manage patients with febrile illnesses and guide resource stewardship. I work in close collaboration with colleagues at Médecins Sans Frontières and the Department of Primary Care Health Sciences at the University of Oxford.
