Research
I am interested in better understanding relationships that exist between healthcare workers, and how these influence workplace culture and the provision of services.
My DPhil thesis focused on the relational ties and structures between staff working in neonatal care in Kenya. I developed programme theory using realist evaluation.
I am currently working within the AFRHiCARE Partnership to explore staff skill mix and roles in first-referral hospitals in Kenya, South Africa and Uganda.
