We review the authors' work on the problem of robust controller design for linear systems. Our approach is based on the use of interval analysis to describe poorly known plants. We outline algorithms for designing state regulators and dynamic regulators which stabilize continuous multivariable interval plants. We also consider algorithms for designing pole-placement controllers which place the closed-loop poles close to their desired locations for discrete SISO interval plants and continuous SISO interval systems.
