A brief outline of the emerging field termed “Control of Chaos" is given. Three major branches of research, related to so called “nonfeedback control", OGY method and Pyragas method are surveyed. It is demonstrated that some important problems of justification of existing control algorithms remain unsolved and still provide challenges for control theorists.
