GloPID-R has announced the first Global Research Improving Pandemic Preparedness (GRIPP) call for proposals: “Outbreak ready: Accelerating clinical trial site readiness in LMICs.” 

The aim is to strengthen the clinical research ecosystem to improve clinical trial practices in support of preparedness for outbreaks of emerging or re-emerging infectious diseases.  The funding call marks a significant milestone in advancing a coordinated research funding mechanism to strengthen global pandemic preparedness. 

Criteria

  • Grant Value: between 100,000-500,000 EUR 

  • Duration: Maximum duration 24 months 

  • Eligibility: Current clinical trial (phase I-III) funded by a GloPID-R member focused on (re-)emerging diseases of epidemic potential; LMIC focus
