This paper presents theoretical results concerned with boundedness and control tracking properties of amplitude constrained direct adaptive controllers. These properties require a finite gain stability condition for the non-adaptive control system using the true parameters and a property of the saturation nonlinearity. The adaptive control also accounts for some disturbances and unmodelled dynamics to obtain certain degree of robustness. Examples are given showing system performance.
